It is your right to:
- Be involved in communicating with your child’s teacher and attend parent conferences
- Be provided information on your child’s level of achievement on state assessments in reading/language arts, writing, mathematics, and science
- You are your child’s biggest cheerleader.
- You have the ability to influence your child’s education more than any teacher or school.
- You know your child best:
- Share information about your child’s interests and abilities with teachers
- Ask your child to see their graded folders, interim reports, and report cards
- Discuss these results with your child’s teacher so that you understand how to help your child at home
- Remind your child about their behavior as it is hard for a teacher to teach when there is a disruption to others in the classroom
Thank you for coming out this evening! At this time, we will prepare to move to classrooms.
